How to Win on Amazon FBA

It is hard to make a huge difference to your Amazon business in 1 day or 1 week. But over the course of 6 to 12 months, the weekly actions you take can have a huge impact.

If you devote a few hours each week just to improving your business – you will see a change by the end of the year. In this article we are going to cover the top tips for winning on Amazon. 

Tip 1 Take Action 

For each key part of your Amazon business you need to take focused action to get the results you are looking for. It needs to be consistent action – in every major area from finding a product, to listing it, and ranking it.

Set a goal of getting to 10 products on Amazon. Your first target is simply to have one product, after which you can scale up. 

Every week, spend at least a couple of hours in the morning finding, developing, and launching products. The more products you have & the more time you spend improving them – then your chances of hitting a winner drastically improve. 

Tip 2 Improve Every Week
Make a list of all the key things you need to do. Then schedule in time to improve them. Not everything has to be improved every week – you can optimize your listing every month. PPC can be optimized every 2 weeks.  

The key here is to simply make time each week to improve one of these major areas. 

You need to review your conversion rates, your pay per click performance, and your price versus your competition. Set a fixed day every week when you will go over your listings and make sure they are 100% optimized. 

Tip 3 Add More Products 

Even if you have one great product the profit may not be enough to sustain a business.

You need to add additional items to create massive extra cash flow. Once you’ve hit 10 items you should be making a very substantial monthly profit, and with this profit you can reinvest and scale even further.  

Tip 4 Spend More Time Choosing a Product 

The most important task in running your Amazon business is choosing the correct product to sell. 

If you choose a low profit item it doesn’t matter how much work you do later, it’s going to be hard to make it perform. If you choose a high competition item, you’ll always be fighting just to maintain sales.

So spend as much time as you need to carefully choose which market to enter. Don’t rush this step. If you choose a market with great potential and relatively low competition – then you will be far more likely to be able to rank for it! 

Tip 5 Monitor Your Listing

You need to check these numbers weekly. I recommend every Monday you go over all your numbers and plan for the week ahead. 

How do you know how well you are doing if you are not regularly monitoring performance – and checking all your key metrics. 

Tip 6 Learn More 

There are hundreds of videos, articles and courses available about how to optimize your Amazon business. 

Block off a day each week to study and improve. After a few months you will be an expert and able to dominate your niche.

Tip 7 Build a Team 

Build systems and a team over time to do most of the day-to-day tasks, to free up your time to have some fun and to do the important stuff.

It’s relatively easy to find a good customer service agent who can answer your emails twice a day, and you can start to put team members in other key roles as you grow your business.
